Antaris participated in the Irish Trade Delegation to the Middle East in early January, as part of our ongoing business development focus in the region.
We were impressed by the commitment and support demonstrated by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Minister Richard Bruton throughout the 7-day challenging schedule in which they led the trade delegation of over 75 Irish companies representing a diverse range of high quality products and professional services.
The team of Irish Embassy and Enterprise Ireland representatives facilitated the highest level access for Irish companies to Saudi, Qatar, Oman and UAE decision makers across various sectors.
Antaris attended all trade visits to Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, Doha in Qatar, Muscat in Oman and, Abu Dhabi and Dubai in United Arab Emirates. We particularly focused on water, waste water, energy and rail infrastructure and the food safety management stream. We received very positive responses from a wide range of agencies, municipalities and companies for our consultancy, advisory and training services, which we are actively following up.
Huge credit must go to the personal energy that the Taoiseach and Minister Bruton put into the success of the trade delegation. In particular the powerful statement delivered by Enda Kenny to an assembled audience of over 500 Irish and Regional delegates in Dubai ‘that the Irish Government stands over the quality of the companies being introduced to the region and is there to assist in every practical, influential and ongoing way to make business happen’.
